(Kung Fu Magazine) – Normally when people talk about strength, they are referring to a person’s natural power, size and build. When looking at strength in the martial arts, we divide it into two categories: static (still) and active (moving). Examples of static strength are training the horse stance, stretching and hanging the leg, as well as the single finger Zen. Examples of active or moving strength are categorized under speed and weight. In speed strength, all actions like jumping, moving and attacking with the hand, foot or other body part ? are referred to as speed strength.
