On behalf of the UC Berkeley Martial Arts Program, we cordially invite you to attend the 46th Annual UC Open Taekwondo Championship on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
This year we will have a multitude of new events. For Poomsae there will be mixed pair competition and team competitions for black belts. Additionally, this year the black belt Poomsae competition will be held according to the WTF competition guidelines..
In sparring we will be having a three person team sparring competition for black belts. Each member of the winning team will receive a $75 Amazon gift card and second and third place $50 and $25 gift cards respectively. We are looking forward to many great teams competing in these new competitions.
The University of California Martial Arts Program is pleased to announce that athletes from the Chinese National and from Chosun University teams will be competing at the UC Open. We are thrilled that these great athletes are coming all the way to Berkeley to compete and are looking forward to many exceptional matches.
